About

Two heritage walks are currently recommended and both start from the Young Visitor Information Centre.

There is plenty to learn about the town from the days on the Lambing Flat goldfields through to Young’s current status as a thriving town in a rich rural setting.

Marvel at some of the historic buildings like the old court house located alongside Carrington Park, consider the workmanship of the Young Visitor Information Centre and former railway station.

Learn more about one of the personalities who helped shape the town and contributed to their nation in the park named after Col Charles Anderson who was awarded a Victoria Cross in World War II.

Young’s record as the first town in NSW to have electric lights in both streets and private homes is just one fact that will be revealed.
