An aboriginal word meaning “big” or “deep water”. Many water holes along Binda Creek exist and were used by the Gandangara people whose tribal lands stretched from Binda towards Taralga, Mittagong and Oberon.
Constructed under the supervision of the Grenfell Men’s Shed out of recycled materials, and built in recognition of Grenfell’s significant contribution to the Australian gold era during the mid to late 1860s.
