Greenethorpe – home of Iandra Castle and Station

Greenethorpe is home to the exceptionally significant Iandra Castle and Station. Greenethorpe village was purpose-built in 1908 to house the share-farmers who worked at Iandra.

Greenethorpe is a small village located in Weddin Shire in central New South Wales with a population of close to 120 in the actual village and another 100 people on nearby farming properties.

The village was purpose-built in 1908 to house the share-farmers who worked at Iandra Station and Castle, the property of George Henry Greene.

Within the Greenethorpe village are a General Store/Post Office, the Shamrock Hotel, Greenethorpe Public School, the Blue Sky art gallery and a Police Station. Art of Espresso Coffee is produced nearby.
