The Globe Inn

The Globe Inn was once the venue for meetings, balls, theatrical entertainment and the booking offices for the Telegraph Line of American Covered Coaches. It was one of the largest hotels in Yass until c1880 when it became a boarding house. The Globe Inn (circa 1847) is now a boutique bed and breakfast accommodation.

Yass Heritage Town Walk & Drive

Yass & District Historical Museum

From its formation in 1961 the Society have been actively collecting objects of historical interest related to Yass and District. The Museum was officially opened in its present location in December 1988 after extensive refurbishments were made to a former garage over a period of some five years.

Yass Railway Heritage Centre

The original station building was erected way back in 1891; The Yass Railway Museum is home to the steam locomotive 1307 and NSW’s shortest platform, it also exhibits a host of railway memorabilia housed in the original station, boasting static displays of original period steam engines, carriages and goods vans.
